About Random Team Picker

Random Team Picker is a free online tool that takes any list of names and splits it into fair, balanced teams in seconds. It was built to do one job really well: divide people into groups without the hassle, the spreadsheets, or the playground arguments.

What makes it different

Plenty of tools shuffle names. Ours focuses on the details that actually matter when you split a group: genuinely even teams, graceful handling of odd numbers, a one-tap re-shuffle, and an option to avoid repeat pairings when you use the same group week after week.

Who it's for

Teachers building project groups, coaches making practice squads, party hosts running trivia, and anyone who needs fair teams fast. No signup, no app, no cost.

Privacy first

Everything runs in your browser. Your list of names is never uploaded or stored on a server. See our privacy page for details.
